Care step by step

Spraying plant treatments

A spray is not the first response to an unidentified mark. Start with the plant, symptom and cause.

Good timing

Apply only an authorised suitable product when the diagnosis and label support its use and conditions are appropriate.

When to wait

Do not spray in strong sun, wind, unsuitable temperature or when people, pets and pollinators cannot be protected as required.

What to record

The product, label rate, target, area, conditions, date and required re-entry or follow-up period.

Care

A useful routine

  1. 1

Confirm the target and read the full current label.

  2. 2

Prepare only the required amount and protect non-target areas.

  3. 3

Record the treatment and inspect the result at the correct interval.

Observation

Before you finish

  • The target problem is reasonably confirmed.
  • Weather and surrounding activity match the label.
  • Leftover product and equipment are handled according to instructions.
Important

The product label and local regulations take priority over general guidance. Never mix products unless the label explicitly allows it.
